Does Hill Head Cottage allow dogs?
Yes. Up to 2 pets can stay, for £14 per pet per night. The cottage has a private, fully enclosed garden, and there are walking routes straight from the village. Please read the house rules and pet policy before you book. House rules and pet policy
How many people does the cottage sleep?
Up to 6 guests in three bedrooms: a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a double bedroom, and a single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom.
Where is Hill Head Cottage?
In Harpur Hill, a village inside the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. Buxton is about 2 miles away, Bakewell about 12 miles, and Ashbourne and Matlock about 20 miles. Explore the area
Is there parking and an electric vehicle charger?
Yes. There is off-road parking, a garage and an electric vehicle charging point at the cottage.
How does check-in work?
Check-in is self-service using a lockbox, so you can arrive when it suits you. We email arrival instructions, including check-in and check-out times, before your stay.
Is there WiFi, and can I work remotely?
Yes. There is fast WiFi and a dedicated workspace. The cottage also has a Smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Yes. Bed linen, towels, heating and power are all included in the price. A crib is available on request.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the cottage. Parties and events are not allowed either. House rules
What is the security deposit?
A refundable security deposit is added when you book. It is returned to your card within 24 hours of check-out, provided there is no damage or breach of the house rules. Your bank may take 5 to 10 working days to show the refund. How the security deposit works
What is the cancellation policy?
Refunds depend on how far ahead of your arrival you cancel, and the security deposit is returned in full if you cancel before your stay. Please read the full policy before you book. Cancellation policy
How do I book, and is it safe to pay online?
Check live availability and prices on the booking page, then pay by card. Payments are handled securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details. Check dates and book
